125 years ago, the lifelong naturopathic studies of the health pioneer Sebastian Kneipp and Leonhard Oberhäußer laid the foundation in 1891 for the emergence and development of Kneipp. Kneipp works naturally. In accordance with this principle, they develop effective formulas at their Hohestadt, Germany site – always on the basis of natural ingredients and scientifically founded teachings. Sebastian Kneipp wanted his successful cures to be scientifically founded. To this day, it has been essential for Kneipp to discover active principles and create scientific foundations. For this reason, product development at Kneipp is accompanied by intensive research and development. In its 125-year company history, Kneipp GmbH has always rejected animal testing for body care products. Instead, the efficacy and tolerance of body care products are tested exclusively on volunteer test subjects.
